This structured three-year programme is designed to provide practical workplace exposure and support professional development aligned with statutory registration requirements.

This opportunity is ideal for Civil Engineering graduates seeking to gain hands-on experience within South Africa’s water sector while working on infrastructure and water management projects that contribute to sustainable service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Must be unemployed
• Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID
• Must be under the age of 35 (aligned with NSDS III)
• Academic record must meet the requirements for professional registration with (ECSA)
• Registration as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA will be an advantage
• A valid Code 08 driver’s licence will be an added advantage
• Appointments will be made in accordance with Employment Equity principles

Shortlisted candidates will undergo assessments, security clearance, and qualification verification. Applicants will be required to present original qualification certificates and academic transcripts or statements of results.

Programme Overview
