About the Role

Reporting directly to the Remuneration and Benefits Specialist, you’ll provide essential administrative support and first-line query resolution to internal customers. You’ll play a meaningful role in ensuring our employee benefits processes run smoothly, accurately, and efficiently — from disability and death claims to medical aid tracking and retirement counselling coordination.

This is more than a desk job. You’ll be at the heart of CCBSA’s People and Culture function, engaging with regions, third-party providers, and employees to deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Processing and tracking disability claims within SLA timelines, including potential notifications, admitted claims, medical reviews, and appeals
  • Managing funeral and group life cover death claims, ensuring all documentation is complete and submitted timeously
  • Investigating unclaimed benefits queries across multiple platforms
  • Tracking medical aid enrolments and resolving employee enquiries
  • Coordinating retirement counselling sessions ahead of normal and early retirements
  • Performing monthly reconciliations of insurer payments and membership schedules
  • Drawing and analysing regional HR reports on a quarterly basis
  • Providing administrative support and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
  • Liaising with third-party benefit providers and supporting the broader HR team on ad hoc projects

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy (minimum 40%)
  • 3-year Diploma or Degree in HR or Finance
  • Driver’s licence (advantageous)

Skills & Competencies:

  • Solid MS Office proficiency (MSD experience a bonus)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Sound judgment, integrity, and a reputation for discretion
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to report on key HR metrics
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and a commitment to excellent customer service
