The Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure is inviting applications for seven Road Worker positions across the Limpopo province. Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will carry out routine road maintenance and construction activities that keep Limpopo’s road network safe and functional. Duties include the construction of culverts and side drains, installation and maintenance of steel guardrails and gabions, road earthworks and layer works, pothole repairs, road surfacing, and pipe laying. Workers will also be responsible for installing road signs, studs, and distance markers, setting up road markings, barricading work zones, bush clearing, grass cutting along road reserves, and crushing road materials for construction purposes. The role plays a direct role in keeping roads safe for motorists and accessible for surrounding communities.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold a qualification at NQF Level 4 recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). A working knowledge of road maintenance procedures, construction methods, and relevant government legislation is required. Basic familiarity with road construction machinery and an understanding of health and safety practices in construction environments are also essential.
