Microsoft is looking for driven and passionate individuals to join our Sales Excellence team as part of a 12-month full-time internship program in Johannesburg. This is a unique opportunity for South African university students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in one of the world’s most innovative technology companies.

As a Sales Excellence Intern, you will support the sales organization in driving operational excellence, optimizing digital sales processes, and helping ensure customer success through insights, analytics, and strategic planning.

Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Must be a South African national.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written communication).

Key Responsibilities
1. Consumption Management:
Monitor and report on key sales performance metrics such as customer additions and product consumption. Work in collaboration with the Sales Excellence team to provide actionable insights that support customer retention and re-engagement efforts.
2. Sales Support:
Generate monthly forecasting and pipeline reports. Assist senior leaders in the execution of the Sales Operations Planning Process to drive sales performance.
3. Insights and Capabilities:
Learn and support the implementation of tools, processes, and Rhythms of Connection (ROCs) across the subsidiary to accelerate transformation. Work with Business Intelligence data to enhance reporting quality and drive continuous improvement.
4. Partner Management:
Support partnership processes through data quality checks and reporting. Assist in components of partner management including segmentation, quota management, planning, co-selling, and transition activities.
5. Sales Operations Planning:
Gain experience with fiscal-year and cross-segment sales planning. Collaborate on components such as Territory Planning, Account Planning, FastStart, and Blueprint. Support the landing and orchestration of sales tools and follow-up processes.
6. Sales Pipeline Execution:
Analyze local sales team data and performance indicators to address challenges across customer adds, consumption, pipeline, scorecards, and annuity. Leverage available resources to support execution and performance tracking.
