Applications are now open for the 2026 Internship Placement Programme hosted by (SANParks) in partnership with (SANBI). This 12-month internship opportunity is aimed at unemployed South African graduates who have completed a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours Degree (NQF 6/7/8) at a recognised South African Public Higher Education Institution (HEI).
This programme offers graduates an opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience within the environmental conservation and biodiversity sector. Please note that SANParks is under no obligation to offer permanent employment upon completion of the internship programme.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must:
- Be an unemployed South African citizen aged 18–35
- Have completed a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours Degree (NQF 6/7/8) in the relevant field from a South African Public HEI
- Not have previously participated in an internship or placement programme within the Public Service
- Be willing to undergo assessments, interviews, and verification processes
Candidates applying outside their area of residence must arrange their own accommodation and transport. Limited intern accommodation within the National Park may be provided, subject to availability.
