The Sasol Foundation Graduate Internship Programme offers unemployed South African graduates a 24-month opportunity to gain workplace experience in fields like IT, Engineering, Finance, HR, Marketing, and Law. Open to ages 18–29 within Sasol communities. Locations include Secunda, Sasolburg, and Sandton. Closing date: 10 March 2026.


The Foundation Graduate Internship Programme presents an exciting opportunity for young South African graduates to gain meaningful workplace experience within one of the world’s leading integrated chemicals and energy organisations.

With over 75 years of innovation and impact, Sasol continues to invest in developing future talent by equipping graduates with practical skills, industry exposure, and structured career development.

This 24-month fixed-term internship is designed to support unemployed graduates by providing real-world experience aligned to their academic qualifications. Successful candidates will be placed within various Sasol business units across Secunda, Sasolburg, and Sandton.


Programme Purpose

The programme aims to empower graduates by bridging the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience. Participants will gain exposure to professional work environments, develop technical and workplace competencies, and enhance their employability within South Africa’s growing economy.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 29
  • Be currently unemployed
  • Reside within Sasol host communities such as Secunda, Sasolburg, Ekandustria, or Sasol Retail sites within a 50km radius
  • Hold a completed Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines:

  • Digital Marketing / Marketing & Sales
  • Data Science / Data Analytics
  • Information Technology
  • Transport & Logistics
  • Operations / Retail / Brand Management
  • Law (LLB, Legal & Compliance, Commercial or Property Law)
  • Human Resources / Industrial Psychology / Industrial Relations
  • Finance / Accounting / Information Systems (including CIMA / CFP streams)
  • Public Relations / Stakeholder Relations
  • Development Studies / Project Management
  • Brand Communication / Communications
  • Business Management / Economics / Business Administration
  • Engineering (Civil or Industrial)
  • Property Studies / Real Estate
