This is your opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience within one of South Africa’s most distinctive state-owned enterprises, based in the heart of Sandton, Gauteng.
We are offering multiple positions across various divisions — whether your passion lies in technology, law, finance, design, human resources, or insurance, there is a place for you at Sasria.
📋 AVAILABLE POSITIONS
1. Human Capital Intern (24 Months)
Ideal for graduates with a degree in Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, or Organisational Psychology. You will be exposed to the full human capital value chain — from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee relations, and HR projects. This is a rich, well-rounded internship for anyone serious about a career in people management.
2. Governance Intern (Graduate Internship)
Graduates holding an LLB or BCom Law degree (a Certificate in Compliance Management is advantageous) are invited to apply. You will assist with compliance monitoring, regulatory risk identification, drafting compliance documents, managing gifts and entertainment registers, and analysing new legislation for its impact on Sasria’s operations.
3. Procurement Intern x2 (Graduate Internship)
If you hold a Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, this is your entry point into the world of procurement. You will gain practical exposure to supplier sourcing, purchase order management, CSD report compilation, tender processes, and travel invoice reconciliation. CIPS certification is advantageous.
4. Multimedia Design Intern (Graduate Internship)
Creative graduates holding a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Multimedia Design are encouraged to apply. You will design marketing collateral, manage event branding, produce short video and social media content, maintain Sasria’s Corporate Identity, and collaborate with both internal teams and external agencies. A portfolio of evidence is required. Preference will be given to people with disabilities.
5. Quality Assurance Intern (Graduate Internship)
Graduates with a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Auditing, Insurance, Risk Management, or Accounting will work closely with QA Seniors and Specialists. Duties include performing QA reviews, identifying risk areas, completing working papers in line with QA methodology, and assisting with advisory and consulting services.
6. Claims Learnership x4 (12 Months)
Open to Matric holders with no prior experience required. You will be trained to process and manage insurance claims — from registration and validation through to negotiation and settlement — within Sasria’s governed compliance framework. Preference will be given to people with disabilities.
7. Underwriting Intern (Graduate Internship)
Graduates with a BCom in Business Management, Risk Management, or Insurance are invited to join the Strategy and Underwriting division. You will participate in reviewing product terms, policy wordings, and regulations, assist in monitoring loss ratios, contribute to new product research, and handle stakeholder queries. Preference will be given to people with disabilities.
8. Developer Intern (Graduate Internship)
Graduates holding a BSc or BTech in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related IT field will be embedded in Sasria’s Applications team. You should have a foundational understanding of programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, Java, Angular, or React JS, as well as web technologies and databases. Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate is an advantage. You will gain hands-on exposure to real-world software development in a corporate technology environment.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL POSITIONS
- South African citizen
- Recent graduate or currently unemployed
- Must not have participated in a formal internship or learnership programme previously (unless specified)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive, professional, and eager to learn
- All positions are based in Sandton, Gauteng
