1. Military Skills Development System (MSDS) 2025 Intake

The MSDS is a two-year program designed to equip young South Africans with military training and functional skills. Successful candidates will undergo Basic Military Training, followed by specialist mustering training, and subsequent deployment within the SANDF.

• Age: 18–22 years (Grade 12 qualification); up to 26 years (with a 3-year tertiary qualification or N6).
• Citizenship: South African (no dual citizenship).
• Education: Minimum Admission Point Score (APS) of 17 (excluding Life Orientation).
• Criminal Record: No criminal record or pending cases.
• Medical Fitness: Must comply with SANDF medical fitness requirements.
• Appearance: No visible tattoos on legs, lower arms, neck, or face.
