About This Opportunity

Located in the heart of Bellville, Western Cape, this comprehensive internship offers hands-on experience in the statutory control department that manages the critical functions of South Africa’s national road network. Position Details:

  • Duration: 24 months
  • Stipend: R8,000 per month
  • Location: Havenga Street, Oakdale, Bellville
  • Reports to: Engineering Manager

What You’ll Do

As a Statutory Control Intern, you’ll gain invaluable exposure to the regulatory framework governing our national road infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

Core Functions:

  • Processing wayleave applications for services crossing or running parallel to national roads
  • Managing land subdivision applications and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting outdoor advertising applications and monitoring the removal of illegal advertisements
  • Assisting with tourist-related information road signage approvals
  • Contributing to damage claims processing and resolution
  • Collaborating with project managers and route managers on application processing
  • Providing expert feedback on regulatory queries and national road legislation compliance
