🔧About the Role

As a Stock Controller Intern, you will be embedded across the Finance, Workshop, and Sales departments, providing critical support in the management and control of dealership vehicle stock. From conducting stock counts to processing vehicle invoices and permits, you will play an active role in keeping the dealership’s inventory accurate and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of new and used vehicle stock on the dealership management system
• Conduct regular vehicle stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records
• Monitor and record all vehicle stock movements — including vehicles received, sold, or transferred
• Report any stock discrepancies to the Accountant promptly
• Maintain proper documentation for all vehicles in stock
• Assist with vehicle invoicing and the issuing of vehicle permits
• Provide administrative support to the Finance Department on inventory-related tasks
• Support internal customers including technicians, service advisors, and workshop staff
• Adhere to dealership governance, compliance, and inventory control processes

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Diploma or Certificate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics
• 0–1 year experience in administration, finance support, or stock control (advantageous)

• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good organisational and record-keeping ability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
