The Opportunity

This comprehensive 18-month internship programme offers invaluable hands-on experience in systems analysis and IT solution delivery. You’ll work alongside experienced technology professionals, gaining practical skills in translating business requirements into effective technical solutions. Based at our Cape Town office, you’ll be embedded within either our core Technology team or our specialized Dialler team, contributing to real projects that impact our business and customers.

What You’ll Do

As a Systems Analyst Intern, your responsibilities will include:

  • Requirements Analysis: Review and interrogate business requirements from Business Analysts and stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and completeness
  • Solution Design Support: Assist in designing system and technical solutions aligned with business objectives and technology standards
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare functional specifications, data flows, system integration diagrams (UML), and comprehensive integration notes
  • Testing & Quality Assurance: Support functional testing activities, develop test scenarios, and assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, testers, and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Project Participation: Attend project meetings and contribute to solution discussions and technical analysis
  • Process Improvement: Help maintain and enhance system and process documentation

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • BSc in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering
  • Currently unemployed
  • South African citizen aged 18-35 years
  • Willingness to relocate to Cape Town (if not currently based there)
  • Available for full-time, in-office work

Advantageous Skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Understanding of system design principles
  • Familiarity with UML diagrams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
