Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our operations team as a Technical Intern. This internship provides hands-on experience with electronic and electrical equipment used in the film industry. As part of our skilled technical team, you will support servicing, testing, fault-finding, and repairs, while also gaining exposure to quality control, inventory management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Servicing, Repairing and Testing

  • Assist in logging equipment repairs via the Workshop Service/Repair Module
  • Test basic functions of equipment under supervision
  • Observe and support the diagnosis and reporting of faulty components
  • Assist with documenting minor faults and repair procedures
  • Carry out basic repairs or support tasks as directed by technical staff

Quality Control and Reporting

  • Help ensure all equipment is clean, safe, and ready for deployment
  • Support in completing Missing and Damage Reports (M&Ds)
  • Track equipment status as it moves in and out of repair

Stock Management

  • Assist in inventory checks and equipment audits
  • Ensure accurate stock counts and recording

Team Collaboration

  • Foster a positive work environment by building professional relationships
  • Support team members in achieving shared objectives

Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) – Essential
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electronics (NQF Level 6) – Essential

Technical Competencies

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Intermediate command of English for communication and reporting
  • Understanding of safety protocols and handling of technical equipment
