Job Overview

NTCSA Engineering is seeking three qualified and motivated Technicians specializing in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering to join our Substation Engineering department. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical services for engineering designs and asset care. This role requires a strong understanding of power plant systems and engineering design standards, along with technical problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provision of Technical Services: Provide technical expertise in engineering designs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of substation infrastructure.
  2. Professional Design Work: Assist in the design of refurbishments, modifications, and new build projects to enhance the efficiency and longevity of assets.
  3. Asset Integrity Management: Ensure all technical designs and engineering services align with company and industry standards to maintain the integrity of the asset base.
  4. Delivery of Standardized Outputs: Support the team in delivering consistent, high-quality engineering outputs in compliance with established policies and guidelines.
  5. Consultation on Discipline-Related Issues: Provide technical support and guidance on engineering issues within the substation domain, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

  • National Diploma / National N Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at NQF Level 6 with 240 Credits.

Experience:

  • Completion of P1 plus P2 Practical Training.

Professional Registration:

  • Not Applicable.
