Eastern Chrome Mines, part of the Glencore group, is seeking two motivated and ambitious Trainee Engineers to join our dynamic mining operations team in Steelpoort, Limpopo.

This exciting trainee position offers newly qualified engineers the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in a world-class mining environment. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, developing your technical skills while contributing to safe, efficient mining operations. As a Trainee Engineer, you’ll be exposed to various aspects of mining operations, participating in maintenance planning, equipment optimization, and project implementation. You’ll gain invaluable experience working with sophisticated mining equipment and systems while developing a deep understanding of operational best practices in the chrome mining sector.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for candidates with:

• An NQF Level 7 qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• GCC Mines and Works certification with DMPR prescribed subjects
• A strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
• The ability to work effectively in team environments
• Strong communication skills
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a challenging mining environment
• Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
