Introduction
Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) is proud to offer a dynamic and rewarding Engineers in Training (EiT) Traineeship Programme for young, driven, and passionate graduates. Based at the prestigious O.R. Tambo International Airport, this programme provides an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on engineering experience in one of the most exciting and essential industries — aviation.

We are looking for recent graduates between the ages of 18 and 34 who are eager to contribute to the growth and innovation of South Africa’s airports through practical experience and mentorship. This three-year programme is structured to provide meaningful exposure to real-world engineering projects, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and a foundation for a successful career in engineering.

Programme Overview
The Engineers in Training programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical application. Over the course of three years, selected candidates will participate in structured rotations across various engineering departments and projects. You will be paired with a dedicated mentor who will provide guidance, support, and professional development to help you achieve your learning objectives and career goals.

Trainees will have the chance to work on projects that directly impact airport operations, infrastructure, safety, and sustainability. You will not only enhance your technical skills but also develop key competencies in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (NQF Level 7) in one of the following fields:

• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering
• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
• Bachelor or B.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning
• B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Environmental Science and Energy
