About the Programme
This learnership is designed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and practical competencies required to operate automated packaging equipment at a professional standard. What You Will Do
As a learner on this programme, you will be embedded in a live production environment where your contributions matter from day one. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general line operations and cleaning activities in accordance with operational plans
- Completing pre-start-up checks to verify equipment readiness, area cleanliness, and safety compliance per standard operating procedures
- Monitoring product and packaging quality against set standards and reporting faults without delay
- Identifying process abnormalities and taking immediate corrective action to prevent escalation
- Cleaning machinery in line with manufacturer guidelines and site-specific specifications
- Preparing and verifying raw materials prior to production use
- Upholding personal and collective safety standards throughout all line activities
- Contributing actively to an eco-efficient and sustainable production environment
- Meeting all learnership requirements, including assessments, logbook entries, and written assignments
Who Should Apply
This opportunity is open to unemployed South African youth who meet the following minimum academic requirements:
- A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12 / Matric) with a pass in both Mathematics and Science, or
- An N2, N3, or N4 Engineering qualification
