Program Overview
TotalEnergies South Africa is offering an exciting opportunity for two Young Talent Trainees to join our 24-month rotational program. This initiative aims to develop future leaders in the fields of Retail Territory Management, Electrical/Mechanical/Electromechanical Engineering, and Finance. As a trainee, you will gain hands-on experience across different departments while enhancing your technical expertise and professional competencies.

The program is designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to learn, grow, and contribute to innovative projects. Throughout the 24-month probationary period, you will receive mentorship, participate in diverse projects, and develop a comprehensive understanding of the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Training and Development
  • Complete structured training modules to enhance technical knowledge and professional skills.
  • Engage in a rotational program across various departments, gaining exposure to diverse roles and responsibilities.
  • Shadow experienced employees to understand day-to-day operations and business processes.
  1. Collaboration and Problem-Solving
  • Work cross-functionally with different teams to address business challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Participate in collaborative projects that drive innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute ideas, feedback, and solutions during team discussions.
  1. Mentorship and Performance Enhancement
  • Actively participate in mentorship programs to foster professional and personal growth.
  • Seek regular feedback from supervisors, mentors, and peers to continuously improve.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude by taking ownership of tasks and seeking learning opportunities.
  1. Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ)
  • Ensure compliance with all HSE policies, guidelines, and legal requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and contribute to the company’s HSE objectives.
  • Identify and address HSE risks within your area of responsibility.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12)
  • B/BTech degree in one of the following fields:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electromechanical Engineering
  • Alternatively, a B/BTech degree in Finance or an Accounting Technician NQ5 qualification.

Skills and Competencies:

  • 0-5 years of work experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong academic record with a proven ability to learn and adapt.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
