The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) invites applications from suitably qualified graduates to join its ICT Business Unit on a two-year internship programme running from 2026 to 2028. About the NRCS
The NRCS is a South African government entity mandated to administer compulsory specifications and technical regulations to protect public health, safety, and the environment. The ICT Business Unit plays a critical enabling role in supporting the organisation’s operations through technology, systems, and digital infrastructure.
Positions Available
- Number of Posts: 3 (Pretoria Office)
- Stipend: R8 300.00 per month
- Reference Number: ICT 2026-2028
- Reporting to: Chief Information Officer
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be in possession of a National Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
- Software Development
- Computer Science
- Web and Application Development
- Information Systems
- Business Information Technology
- Information Technology
- Cybersecurity
- Computer Networking
Applicants must be South African citizens who have not previously participated in an internship programme.
Key Learning Areas
Interns placed within the ICT Business Unit will be exposed to a broad range of functions and learning opportunities, which may include:
- Software development and systems support
- Network administration and infrastructure management
- Cybersecurity practices and information security protocols
- Web and application development and maintenance
- IT service desk and end-user support
- Business systems analysis and information management
- Database administration and data management
- ICT project support and coordination
