Putco, one of South Africa’s leading public transport operators, in collaboration with the Transport Education Training Authority (TETA), is offering 24 graduate internship opportunities across multiple departments and locations. If you have completed your tertiary qualification and are ready to gain meaningful workplace experience in the transport sector, this is your opportunity.

About the Programme

This structured 24-month internship is designed to bridge the gap between academic achievement and professional practice. Interns will be placed across Putco’s operational hubs in Soweto, Pretoria, Linbro Park, and Head Office, gaining hands-on exposure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Available Internship Positions

1. Operations/Traffic Department — Soweto & Pretoria
Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Transport Management, Logistics, or equivalent qualification.

2. Accounts Department — Soweto & Pretoria
Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent qualification.

3. Human Resources Department — Pretoria & Linbro Park
Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Human Resources Management, Personnel Management, or equivalent qualification.

4. Technical Department — Soweto & Pretoria
BTech Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.

5. Procurement/Stores Department — Soweto, Pretoria & Head Office
Degree / Diploma / National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification.

General Requirements

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric)
• Relevant tertiary qualification (Degree, Diploma, or National Diploma) obtained from a recognised Higher Education and Training Institution — TVET college, University of Technology, or Public University
• Must be unemployed at time of application
• Must be under 35 years of age
• Must be in good health

Conditions of Employment

• 24-month internship contract
• Monthly stipend of R6 500 for the full duration of the internship
• 15 days annual leave
