About the Role
Successful candidates will be placed in a dynamic warehouse and logistics environment where they will carry out loading, offloading, and delivery support tasks under the guidance of experienced Team Leaders and Managers. This learnership is designed for motivated individuals who are willing to learn, take on responsibility, and develop the skills needed to thrive in a high-performance supply chain setting. This is a temporary, full-time position based in Uitenhage. No travel is required.
Key Responsibilities
Learners will develop a clear understanding of client requirements and operational procedures. Day-to-day duties include assisting with loading and offloading activities in line with established delivery protocols, operating equipment correctly and reporting any defects promptly, and identifying and recording any non-conformities relating to customer merchandise. Learners will work within designated operational areas as directed by management and must adhere to all safe working practices and company procedures at all times. Maintaining the integrity of DHL and its clients is a core expectation of this role.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be considered for this learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria: a Matric certificate with English and Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy is essential. Applicants must be BBB-EE candidates and South African citizens. This opportunity is open to unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 29 years only. A valid driver’s licence (minimum Code 08) and a valid forklift or reach truck licence are desirable. Applicants must submit a CV, a certified copy of their ID, and a certified copy of their Matric certificate.
