MBM Events and BasadiRA (Pty) Ltd are growing companies specialising in mobile bar services, event infrastructure, and portable toilet rentals for events, mining sites, and long-term contracts. With an expanding client base and a dynamic operational environment, the companies are seeking a motivated, organised, and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Office Assistant Intern.

This is a 6 to 12-month internship based in Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng, offering hands-on exposure to business administration, event management operations, and client services within a fast-paced and growing enterprise.

About the Role

The Office Assistant Intern will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of daily office operations. The successful candidate will work closely with management and staff across various functions, gaining practical experience in a real-world business setting.

Key Responsibilities

The intern will be responsible for general office administration and document filing, as well as assisting with quotations, invoicing, and record keeping. Day-to-day duties will include answering telephone calls and responding to emails in a professional manner, assisting with client bookings and follow-ups, and updating spreadsheets while maintaining company databases. The role also involves supporting event and project documentation and assisting management with daily operational tasks. Basic social media and marketing support will be advantageous.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must hold a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate. A qualification in Business Administration or Office Administration — whether completed or currently in progress — will be an added advantage. Basic computer literacy is essential, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. The successful candidate must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn and grow within the business. Applicants must reside in or near Bronkhorstspruit.
