About the Role

As a Systems Analyst Graduate, you will be embedded within CSG’s Systems Administration team, reporting to the Manager: Systems Administration. Over the course of a 12-month graduate programme, you will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise-level tools and platforms, developing practical skills that form the foundation of a high-impact IT career.

You will be based at CSG’s Centurion or Cape Town office, working in a hybrid environment.

What You Will Do

  • Provide L1/L2 application and platform support across CSG’s Service Workflow Management (SWM) toolset, including BMC Helix, Azure DevOps, and Atlassian Confluence
  • Support incident, change, and work order lifecycle activities — from validation and triage to basic configuration
  • Perform routine system health checks, login and access validation, and patch and upgrade validation on Windows-based enterprise applications
  • Follow structured troubleshooting approaches using logs, runbooks, and documentation to reproduce and resolve issues
  • Assist with documentation, SOP updates, and knowledge article creation to improve team efficiency
  • Support basic SQL validation, queries, and database checks
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to ticket-driven work management

What You Need

  • South African citizenship
  • A completed three-year degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • A foundational understanding of ITIL and IT service management concepts (incident, change, and work order lifecycles)
  • A willingness to learn enterprise platforms including BMC Helix, Azure DevOps, and Atlassian Confluence
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
  • Comfort working with Windows-based enterprise applications and monitoring tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

Advantageous:

  • Exposure to scripting or automation tools (Python, PowerShell, Java, SQL)
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, or integration platforms such as Jitterbit
  • Experience in Agile or Scrum environments
  • Interest in AI and chatbot technologies
