  • B.Tech or BSc in Civil Engineering — 1st or 2nd year | 2 positions
  • BSc in Water Science and Sanitation Science — 2nd year | 1 position
  • BSc Honours in Chemistry — 2nd year | 1 position
  • Diploma in Water Science and Technology — 2nd year | 1 position
  • Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) — 1st or 2nd year | 1 position
  • BSc or BEng in Electrical/Electronic Engineering — 1st or 2nd year | 4 positions
  • Bachelor of Geomatics / Surveying — 1st year | 1 position
  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering — 1st or 2nd year | 1 position
  • BCom Accounting — 1st or 2nd year | 1 position
  • LLB — 2nd year | 3 positions
  • BSc Honours in Microbiology — 1st or 2nd year | 1 position
  • Masters of Public Health — 2nd year | 1 position

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

  • South African citizen
  • Previously disadvantaged individual (ACI)
  • Have passed Matric or equivalent and be currently enrolled in one of the listed fields of study
  • Achieve a minimum average of 65%, including in major subjects
  • Not be in receipt of any other bursary or funding
  • Be under the age of 35 years
  • Be a full-time student at a registered and accredited tertiary institution
