The company is committed to developing South Africa’s next generation of skilled artisans through accredited, world-class training programmes.
About the Apprenticeship Programme
The Steinmuller Africa Apprenticeship is a nationally recognised technical training system combining both practical workplace experience and formal theoretical instruction. The programme is aligned with merSETA standards and is designed to produce fully qualified artisans capable of meeting the demands of the engineering and manufacturing industries.
The apprenticeship runs over a minimum period of 36 months, during which candidates will complete all prescribed merSETA modules — both theoretical and practical — while gaining hands-on job experience in a real production environment. Candidates are required to pass a formal trade test before the conclusion of the programme. Upon successful completion, graduates will hold a qualification equivalent to NQF Level 4 as a Qualified Artisan in either Boilermaking or Welding.
Throughout the programme, apprentices will complete tasks and assignments allocated by a dedicated Mentor or Training Officer and will provide practical support to production and site operations as required.
