What You Will Be Doing

As an intern at the Spartan plant, you will be fully immersed in the day-to-day operations of a live manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include:

You will also be responsible for daily machine and area maintenance, keeping equipment in optimal condition and contributing to the overall reliability of the production line.

You will be expected to record and communicate any machine or area breakdowns promptly, supporting the team in minimising downtime and maintaining output. Health and safety compliance is non-negotiable in this environment, and you will be trained and expected to adhere to all applicable protocols. Meeting daily production targets will also form part of your key performance areas.

Who Should Apply

A minimum of a Matric certificate combined with an N5 or N6 Engineering qualification is required — a mechanical or electrical background will be a distinct advantage. This role operates on a 24/7 shift rotation, which includes night shift work from 18:00 to 06:00. Applicants must be willing and available to work this schedule consistently.
