What You Will Be Doing
As an intern at the Spartan plant, you will be fully immersed in the day-to-day operations of a live manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating machinery, loading raw materials, and monitoring production processes to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will also be responsible for daily machine and area maintenance, keeping equipment in optimal condition and contributing to the overall reliability of the production line.
You will be expected to record and communicate any machine or area breakdowns promptly, supporting the team in minimising downtime and maintaining output. Ensuring quality output of production is central to the role — you will play an active part in upholding the standards that PG Group is known for.
Health and safety compliance is non-negotiable in this environment, and you will be trained and expected to adhere to all applicable protocols. Meeting daily production targets will also form part of your key performance areas.

A minimum of a Matric certificate combined with an N5 or N6 Engineering qualification is required — a mechanical or electrical background will be a distinct advantage. This role operates on a 24/7 shift rotation, which includes night shift work from 18:00 to 06:00. Applicants must be willing and available to work this schedule consistently.
