About the Programme
The Artisan Learnership Programme is a structured, occupationally directed training initiative designed to equip learners with the technical knowledge and practical skills required to thrive in trade-related careers. The programme leads to a Trade Certificate issued by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO), registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF).

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen, specifically targeting unemployed youth
- Successfully completed Grade 12 / Matric with Core Mathematics and Physical Science, or a Technical Matric
- Must hold a relevant trade-related qualification
- Must possess a valid South African driver’s licence (minimum Code B)
- Must not be currently registered on an active Learnership or Apprenticeship funded by a SETA or privately
- Domicile address must fall within the King Cetshwayo District Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal
