The Role
Reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Junior Electrical Engineer plays a foundational role in the design process. The primary purpose of this position is to provide essential technical design support to the Electrical Engineering department, with a focus on the accurate and timely preparation of core design documentation.
This role is critical for ensuring that technical specifications and material requirements are correctly documented, preventing production delays and minimising material waste. You will work under direct supervision and guidance from the Electrical Engineering Manager and Deputy Electrical Engineering Manager as you develop your engineering capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Electrical Engineer at Actom Power Transformers, you will:
- Execute designs on the costing sheet based on instructions from the Electrical Engineering Manager and relevant technical notes
- Flag and escalate design challenges or technical issues to a senior Electrical Engineer or manager for prompt resolution before production delays occur
- Request and review technical standards and product-specific notes to ensure compliance and accuracy across all design documentation
- Contribute to maintaining the technical quality standards aligned with the department’s objectives
- Support the Electrical Engineering team by reducing workload pressure through diligent and accurate documentation
Who Should Apply
