About the Programme
PPSHA’s internship is built around bridging the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice. Over 12 months, you will gain exposure to medical aid correspondence, claims assessment, member subscriptions, clinical administration, underwriting, and new member applications. You will participate in both formative and summative assessments, receive structured mentorship from experienced colleagues, and build a professional network within the healthcare sector.
You will also serve as a PPSHA ambassador — representing the organisation’s commitment to excellent customer service in every interaction.

Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen, aged 18–35 years
- Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 qualification
- Completed a 3-year Bachelor’s degree, National Diploma, or Honours in one of the following fields:
- Commerce or Accounting
- Information Technology
- Clinical Medical Associate
- BCur in Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing Science)
- Data Science
- Mathematics and Statistics
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Fluent in English — proficiency in additional South African languages is advantageous
- Strong time management, administrative, and interpersonal skills
- Professional presentation and the ability to work well under pressure
- Basic computer literacy
- Not currently employed or enrolled in another internship or learnership programme
