If you are a motivated university student with a passion for corporate finance and a desire to contribute to Africa’s growth story, FCP’s Summer Internship Programme 2026 is your opportunity to gain hands-on exposure at one of the continent’s most exciting advisory firms.
About the Internship
FCP is seeking highly motivated penultimate and final-year university students to join its Summer Internship Programme in Johannesburg. Running between mid-June and mid/end September 2026 — with exact dates agreed individually based on academic calendars — the programme places interns at the heart of live corporate finance transactions across Africa.
Interns will work closely with experienced investment bankers, gaining direct insight into the execution of complex, high-impact transactions across multiple sectors and markets. This is not a passive observational role — you will be actively contributing to real work from day one.

As a Summer Intern at FCP, you will support the team across a range of live projects and business development initiatives, including:
- Supporting investment bankers on transaction execution
- Assisting with financial analysis, valuation work, and market research
- Preparing company profiles and industry overviews
- Contributing to presentations, information memoranda, and management presentations
- Conducting research on high-growth and high-impact sectors across Africa
- Supporting the team in analysing businesses, industries, and transaction opportunities
- Participating in internal discussions, client meetings, and transaction workstreams where appropriate

- A strong interest in corporate finance, investment banking, and Africa’s growth story
- A desire to create meaningful and long-term impact across the continent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
