Rand Water is offering 24-month Graduate Programmes across 15 disciplines including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Finance, Auditing, Social Work, SHE, and more. Open to South African citizens under 35. Based in Johannesburg. Closing 22 June 2026.


Rand Water is offering an exceptional opportunity for talented young South Africans to launch their careers through a structured 24-month Graduate Programme. The programme provides practical workplace exposure, training, coaching, and on-the-job learning across various departmental functions. Graduates will gain invaluable insight into Rand Water’s mandate and its vital contribution to the water sector.

Location: Rietvlei, Johannesburg, Gauteng

Programme Duration: 24 Months


Minimum Requirements

All posts share the following minimum requirements:

  • South African citizens (all races are eligible to apply)
  • Matric plus a suitable qualification in the relevant field of study
  • Must be under the age of 35
  • No prior work experience related to the field of study
  • Must not have previously participated in a graduate or internship programme

Graduates with an Advanced Diploma in Construction Management specialising in Project Management are invited to apply for this position. You will be exposed to practical project management functions within Rand Water’s infrastructure environment over a 24-month period, building competencies critical to the construction and water utility sector.
