The Opportunity
This apprenticeship follows a well-established technical training system that includes both practical and theoretical components, designed to guide you toward achieving full artisan status in the Fitting trade. It is an ideal entry point for young South Africans who are energised, eager to learn, and serious about building a long-term technical career.
You will work within a structured training environment where you are expected to engage fully with your programme, meet all required competencies, and uphold Komatsu’s non-negotiable commitment to workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarise yourself thoroughly with the training programme and understand all expectations from the outset
- Maintain a safety-first approach and work safely at all times, without exception
- Demonstrate competency across all required training modules throughout the duration of the apprenticeship
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following academic qualifications:
- N3 with 4 subjects, including the relevant trade theory, with a minimum D / L4 symbol in both Mathematics and Physical Science
- NC(V) Level 4 with a minimum D / L4 symbol in Mathematics and one additional subject in Engineering and Related Design or Electrical Infrastructure Construction
- S1 (Mathematics and Physical Science at D / L4 symbol or higher)
