This learnership is open to candidates based in the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal provinces, and carries a monthly stipend of R8,500. No prior banking or work experience is required — just a matric certificate and the ambition to grow.
About the Programme
The Bank Better Champion Learnership is a youth development initiative aimed at building the next generation of banking professionals. As a learner, you will be trained to welcome clients, coordinate branch flow through efficient queue management, provide excellent client service, and assist customers at ATMs and across remote and self-service channels.
The programme provides a solid foundation in banking operations while giving learners exposure to real-world branch environments. Upon successful completion, candidates will have gained industry-recognised competencies and a significant advantage when pursuing further employment in the financial services sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming and directing clients within a branch environment
- Managing queue flow to ensure a smooth and efficient client experience
- Providing excellent client service at all points of interaction
- Assisting clients with ATM usage and self-service banking channels
- Completing transactions on remote and digital banking platforms
- Upholding Capitec Bank’s service and conduct standards at all times
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational (NCV)
- No prior work experience required
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Some client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment is advantageous
- Basic numeracy and calculation skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A clear understanding of personal goals and a genuine desire to learn and grow
- Familiarity with bank branch environments is a plus
- Knowledge of Capitec Bank products and internal business processes is advantageous
