About the Programme

This internship is tailored for unemployed graduates who are eager to gain hands-on exposure in their respective fields. Successful candidates will be placed within MTC’s operational environment for a period of 24 months, gaining invaluable experience that will strengthen their professional profile and career prospects.

MTC is offering internship placements across the following fields:

• Finance — 3 positions (placements in Supply Chain Management & Asset Management)
• Human Resources Management — 1 position
• Wellness Management — 1 position
• Operations / Transport Management — 2 positions
• Information & Communication Technology (ICT) — 1 position
• Law — 1 position
• Office Administration — 1 position

Required Qualifications

Applicants must hold a National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Honours Degree in the relevant field:

• Finance: National Diploma/Degree in Finance
• Human Resources: National Diploma/Degree in Human Resources Management
• Wellness Management: National Diploma/Degree in Health Administration
• Operations/Transport Management: National Diploma/Degree in Transport Management
• Information Technology: National Diploma/Degree in IT or Information Systems
• Law: Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
• Office Administration: National Diploma/Degree in Office Administration

Minimum Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• South African citizen aged 35 years or younger
• Currently unemployed
• Must not have previously participated in an internship programme in their field of study
• Must hold the relevant qualification for the position applied for
