About the Role

As a Continuous Improvement Graduate, you will be embedded within FlySafair’s IT and business support functions, working alongside experienced professionals to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and support innovation-driven initiatives. This is a structured 1–2 year contract programme designed to build your practical skills across process improvement, data analysis, and automation.

What You Will Do

You will assist with documenting and reviewing existing IT and business processes to understand current workflows and identify areas for improvement. This includes supporting process mapping exercises, developing standard operating procedures, and identifying bottlenecks or non-value-adding activities that hinder operational effectiveness.

On the data and analytics side, you will collect, analyse, and interpret operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. You will also contribute to the development and maintenance of dashboards, performance metrics, and management reports, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across reporting platforms.

A key focus of this role involves automation and artificial intelligence. You will assist with identifying manual and repetitive tasks suitable for automation, support the evaluation of automation tools and digital solutions, and participate in testing and implementing AI-enabled processes. You will also research emerging technologies and AI trends to identify new opportunities for business improvement.

Beyond technical work, you will collaborate with IT teams, business stakeholders, and service providers, participate in workshops and process review sessions, and support change management and user adoption activities relating to improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Essential)
  • Interest or exposure to process improvement, data analytics, automation, AI, or technology-driven optimisation (Advantageous)

This is a structured 1–2 year opportunity for ambitious graduates who are eager to build a career in commercial aviation, business strategy, and operational execution.

About the Role

As a Business Development Graduate within the Sales and Distribution team, you will be exposed to the full breadth of FlySafair’s commercial operations. Through a rotational structure spanning catering, ancillary revenue, partnerships, distribution, and GDS support, you will gain deep insight into how a successful airline drives revenue, manages supplier relationships, and delivers exceptional customer experiences.

What You Will Do

You will support the coordination and execution of commercial initiatives and projects across multiple business areas. This includes assisting with monitoring the performance of catering products and ancillary revenue streams, identifying trends and opportunities, and contributing to post-implementation reviews of promotions and commercial projects.

You will also assist with competitor and market analysis to support commercial decision-making, helping the team stay ahead of industry developments. On the operations side, you will help develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, checklists, and operational controls that keep commercial activities running smoothly.

Reporting and data analysis form a significant part of this role. You will help prepare weekly and monthly commercial reports, dashboards, and performance summaries, while supporting the collection and validation of operational data to identify variances, trends, and improvement opportunities. You will also assist with compiling business cases and management reports relating to ancillary products.

Stakeholder and supplier engagement will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will assist with liaising with internal departments, suppliers, and service providers, following up on outstanding actions, and monitoring supplier performance to ensure service delivery standards are consistently maintained.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  • Bachelor’s degree in BCom, Business Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or similar (Essential)
  • Interest in commercial aviation, customer experience, and operational execution
  • Basic understanding of supplier coordination and service delivery processes
  • Knowledge of reporting principles and data analysis concepts
