Tiger Brands, Africa’s largest listed FMCG manufacturer, is offering a Work Integrated Learning opportunity for final-year Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering students based in Isando.

This is a full-time, onsite programme designed to give students the practical, hands-on experience needed to complete their qualification, while offering real exposure to project work within one of Africa’s leading food and beverage companies. Tiger Brands’ portfolio includes some of the continent’s most iconic and award-winning food and beverage brands, and this programme gives students a genuine head start in understanding their chosen career path.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Workplace Experience Student, you will be treated as an owner from day one. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting project work across the business
  • Problem-solving real operational issues
  • Working within a cross-functional team to complete a Work Integrated Learning project assigned by your Line Manager
  • Gaining on-the-job experience directly aligned with your career aspirations
  • Performing additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives

Who Should Apply

This programme is open to students studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in:

  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizen
  • Based in or able to be based in Isando
  • Relevant BCom or BTech qualification
  • Have not worked full-time (more than 1 year) in your field of study
  • Currently in your final year of study
  • Valid work authorisation in South Africa
