This graduate programme is designed to develop future managers within the Supply Chain team. Successful candidates will be trained across the core functions of a Distribution Centre, including People Management, Process Management, Planning, Replenishment, Industrial Relations, and SHEQ, building the practical foundation needed to grow into a management role.

People Management
Graduates will gain an understanding of fill rate and headcount, and how these affect the business. The programme also introduces the Performance Appraisals process and covers why KPIs such as shift fill rates, throughput, payroll queries, and MHE are measured and how they influence performance.

Process Management
This is a hands-on area of the programme, covering Receiving and its related processes, how production runs and is reported on, and the importance of Inventory Management within the Distribution Centre. Graduates will also learn how Dispatch operates and its impact on client service and potential store claims. On-shift operational experience supports development of on-the-job training, alongside exposure to client volume planning, delivery lead times and frequency, and how planning affects customer satisfaction and DC KPIs. The role also covers the importance of Replenishment for DC inventory and its impact on stores, plus ad hoc duties and capacity and receiving responsibilities.

Risk Management
Graduates will build an understanding of a strong SHEQ programme and its impact on workplace safety, including LTIs, IODs, and Planned Task Observations. The role also involves assisting with SHEQ audits and helping to create a safe working environment.

Minimum Requirements

• University degree in Production, Industrial, Process, or Operating Engineering
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects, at an intermediate level
• Willingness to work in Operations within the Distribution Centre
• Willingness to travel nationally
• Strong numeric and verbal reasoning ability
• Working knowledge of Labour Legislation
