Cartrack, one of the largest vehicle telematics companies in the world, is opening applications for its Engineering & Actuarial Graduate Programme: Trainee Manager role, based in Rosebank.

Cartrack operates under Karooooo, a NASDAQ-listed company active in 23 countries across five continents. Karooooo owns Cartrack, a SaaS technology platform business known for its fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture. This graduate programme is designed as an accelerated development track, built to fast-track promising young graduates into management and leadership roles within the business.

About the programme

This is not a role confined to a single desk or department. Trainee Managers on this programme are rotated strategically through Cartrack’s entire South African business over a period of six to eighteen months. During this time, candidates receive continuous training and take on a range of roles and functions across the company, gaining a genuine, ground-level understanding of how Cartrack operates.

The goal is for each candidate to fully absorb Cartrack’s operations and culture, positioning them to move into one of several roles on either the Sales side or the Operational side of the business once the rotation period concludes. It’s an ideal opportunity for graduates who want more than a narrow entry-level job — one that offers exposure across functions and a clear runway toward leadership.

Who Cartrack is looking for

This programme is aimed at young, hands-on, ambitious graduates with a background in Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or Statistics who are ready to help scale a global business.

Minimum requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics & Statistics, with outstanding academic performance
• Distinction in Mathematics (Grade 12) — non-negotiable
• Newly qualified graduate with 0–3 years’ work experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A hands-on approach paired with a positive attitude
• Technical independence and strong initiative
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an out-of-the-box approach to finding solutions
