Location: Midrand
Salary: R20,000 per month
Contract: 12 months
Are you a recent Industrial Engineering graduate who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and finding ways to improve business processes? This could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Our client is looking for a Graduate Industrial Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract, gaining hands-on exposure to Business Intelligence, data analysis, and process optimisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to build a career at the intersection of Industrial Engineering, data, and business performance.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You will support the business by:
- Assisting with Power BI dashboards and BI reporting
- Analysing Finance operational data to identify trends and performance gaps
- Supporting process improvement and optimisation initiatives
- Assisting with root cause analysis and identifying improvement opportunities
- Supporting KPI and business performance reporting
- Applying Industrial Engineering principles to real-world business challenges
- Working with stakeholders to turn data into meaningful business insights
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- BEng / BSc in Industrial Engineering
- Recent graduate or 0–2 years’ relevant experience
- Good to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Exposure to Power BI through university, projects, internships, or work experience
- Understanding or exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A genuine interest in using data to improve business performance
Don’t have work experience yet? That’s okay. Relevant university projects, internships, vacation work, or graduate programmes involving data analysis, Power BI, process improvement, or statistics will be considered.
WHY THIS ROLE
This position offers a rare chance for a graduate to work directly with real business data and real stakeholders, rather than sitting on the sidelines. Over the course of the contract, you’ll build practical experience in BI tools, structured problem-solving frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration — the kind of exposure that sets a strong foundation for a long-term career in operations, analytics, or continuous improvement. You’ll be part of a team that values curiosity and initiative as much as technical grounding, and you’ll leave the programme with a portfolio of real dashboards, reports, and process improvements you helped deliver.
If you’re an analytical Industrial Engineering graduate looking for an opportunity to apply your skills in a real business environment, we’d love to hear from you.
