Sizampilo Projects (Pty) Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates who are seeking a Host Company to complete their workplace training around Mpumalanga Province.
This opportunity is open to students who already have an approved stipend or funding agreement requiring placement with a Host Company, and who are ready to gain hands-on experience on live construction sites.
Positions Available
- Quantity Surveyor Students – 5 posts
- Civil Engineering Students – 10 posts
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizen
- N6, Diploma or B-Tech qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
- Must already have an approved stipend/funding agreement that requires placement with a Host Company
- No criminal record
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Willing to learn and develop within the construction industry
- Willing and able to relocate to Sizampilo Projects sites across Mpumalanga as required
- Physically fit and willing to work on construction sites
- A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage
Key Learning Areas
Candidates placed with Sizampilo Projects will be exposed to a broad range of practical training areas designed to build real workplace competence, including:
- Exposure to live construction projects
- Site administration and project documentation
- Measurement, estimating and cost control (for Quantity Surveying students)
- Site supervision, quality control and project execution (for Civil Engineering students)
- Health, safety and environmental compliance
- Professional mentorship and workplace experience
This is a valuable opportunity for students to complete their required workplace training under the guidance of an established construction and projects company, gaining exposure that will directly support their qualification and future career in the built environment sector.
