South African citizens only, own transport required. Postgraduate study pathway offered.


ETA Operations (Pty) Ltd is a well-established engineering optimisation company with over 160 engineers and more than 40 years of industry experience. The company specialises in energy, production, resource, and environmental optimisation, supporting clients across the mining and petrochemical sectors from offices in Pretoria East, Potchefstroom, Rustenburg, Welkom, and Randfontein.

The Opportunity

ETA Operations is inviting engineering students graduating in 2026 to join its Energy & Production Optimisation teams. Successful candidates will work on real-world projects involving system optimisation, engineering simulations, best practice implementation, and innovation. The programme also offers a unique integrated postgraduate pathway, giving graduates the chance to pursue a Master’s or PhD while working.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • Final-year BEng or BSc Eng student in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, Industrial, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, or Mining Engineering
  • Excellent academic track record
  • A team player with a positive attitude
  • Own transport, and willingness to relocate closer to site
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Willingness to study further

Offices are based in Pretoria, Potchefstroom, Rustenburg, and Welkom.
