What the Role Involves

As a Technology Solution Specialist, you will be embedded in an administrative and technical team where you will receive training, mentoring, and real-world exposure to IT operations within a regulated financial services environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the implementation of new technology solutions and products
  • Assisting with project timelines, tracking, and documentation
  • Gathering and documenting system requirements for new features and enhancements
  • Conducting system and functionality testing to ensure optimal performance and user experience
  • Identifying and documenting defects, and following up on resolution with relevant teams
  • Collaborating with developers and cross-functional teams on system changes
  • Troubleshooting errors and resolving production system issues
  • Contributing to quarterly reporting and analytics
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of solutions under senior developer guidance
  • Engaging with stakeholders including Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business Owners

What You Need to Qualify

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric certificate (essential)
  • Completed three-year diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Little to no prior work experience preferred — this is a graduate entry-level opportunity
  • Exposure to AI coding and development is an advantage

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and solid foundational IT knowledge
  • Basic understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
  • Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
  • Experience with debugging, testing, and QA practices
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
  • Working knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL
  • Cloud computing fundamentals (AWS advantageous)
  • Exposure to AI-enabled development tools such as Claude Code is a distinct advantage
