The South African Pharmacy Council is offering a 12-month IT internship (R7,280 stipend) for graduates in Computer Science or IT. Gain experience in tech support, networks, Microsoft 365, and cybersecurity. Closing date: 24 July 2026.


The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is inviting applications for a twelve (12) month internship in its Information Technology division. This opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build hands-on experience across IT support, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Microsoft 365 administration within a national regulatory body.

Stipend: R7,280

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related qualification.

Competencies

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office package
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
  • Provide technical support to staff, diagnosing and resolving IT-related issues
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of network, server, and hardware infrastructure
  • Research new technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT infrastructure
  • Assist with data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation to support data-driven decisions
  • Support the configuration, monitoring, and user management of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Teams
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring security measures to protect SAPC data and systems
  • Contribute to the design, coding, testing, and documentation of internal software tools and applications
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of IT policies, compliance processes, and project management
  • Assist with technical support and troubleshooting of the telephony system, including IP phones, PABX, and voicemail services

This internship reports to the Manager: Information Technology on all matters relating to Key Performance Areas (KPAs).
