Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the Sappi Engineering Bursary, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a South African citizen between the ages of 17 and 25
- Must have completed Matric or currently be enrolled in Matric
- Must have achieved a minimum of 70% for Mathematics (Mathematical Literacy is not accepted), 70% for Physical Science, and 60% for English — either in the final Matric results or in Grade 11 if currently in Matric
- Must intend to study full time at a university supported by Sappi for Engineering studies
Preference will be given to applicants from communities surrounding Sappi’s operations who meet the required academic standards.
