Available Internship Streams
The company is currently recruiting for the following three streams:
- Graduate Environmental Management Intern – Gold Free State Operations | Closing: 19 May 2026
- Graduate Finance Intern – Gold West Wits Operations | Closing: 22 May 2026
- Graduate Mine Survey Intern – Gold West Wits Operations | Closing: 22 May 2026
What You Will Do
Regardless of stream, interns will be expected to assist team members with projects and operational tasks, capture and report data accurately, comply with company policies and safety procedures, participate in developmental learning activities, compile progress reports, and complete all phases of the internship programme within the specified timeframe.
Stream-specific responsibilities include:
- Environmental Management: Supporting environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives, data capturing, and adherence to environmental legislation and procedures within an active mining operation.
- Finance: Gaining exposure to financial administration, reporting systems, data capturing, and the operational finance environment of a large-scale mining company.
- Mine Survey: Developing practical skills in surveying operations, compliance procedures, reporting, and communication within a mining context.
Minimum Requirements
- South African citizenship
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in the relevant field (Environmental Management, Geography, Finance, or Mine Survey) from a recognised South African university
- Medical fitness for the work environment
- Clear security screening records
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
- Numerical and analytical ability
- Basic report-writing skills
- Understanding of relevant legislation and statutory requirements
- A valid driver’s licence is advantageous for certain roles
