Build a Career That Goes the Distance
South African Breweries (SAB), a proud member of the AB InBev family — one of the world’s leading consumer goods companies — is inviting ambitious, driven, and talented graduates to apply for its Graduate Management Trainee (GMT) Programme 2026. This is not just a job. It is the beginning of a career that could take you anywhere in the world.
About the Programme
With over 30 years of history and a legacy built by thousands of GMTs before you, the SAB Graduate Management Trainee Programme is one of South Africa’s most prestigious and competitive graduate pipelines. Designed to identify and develop future leaders, the programme offers a structured rotational experience that exposes you to the core functions driving SAB’s business forward.
As a GMT, you will rotate through front-line Sales and Supply Chain teams, as well as an additional rotation determined by business need. These rotations are aligned to SAB’s three strategic pillars: Lead and Grow the Category, Digitize and Monetize our Ecosystem, and Optimize our Business. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will move into a full-time placement within the Sales or Supply Chain function — ready to lead.
What You Will Gain
The GMT Programme is built for people who want more than a desk job. As part of a global company operating in nearly 50 countries, you will gain exposure to world-class business practices, diverse work environments, and meaningful challenges that will shape you into a well-rounded professional. From field offices to brewery floors, every rotation is designed to stretch your thinking, sharpen your skills, and build your confidence as a future leader.
You will be part of a community — a global network of GMTs past and present — who share a belief that through collective focus, discipline, and teamwork, anything is possible.
Who Should Apply
SAB is looking for graduates who are hungry to make an impact. The ideal candidate is someone who takes ownership without being asked, collaborates instinctively, solves problems creatively, and moves with urgency and purpose. If you are curious, passionate, and ambitious — and you are ready to work hard, embrace new environments, and grow fast — this programme was built for you.
Minimum requirements include:
- A completed bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- No formal work experience required — prior internship experience is advantageous
- A maximum of two years of full-time work experience will be considered
