Gijima is recruiting one Technical Intern to join their SCCM, Intune, and Microsoft Windows Virtual Desktop support team in Midrand. This is an excellent opportunity for a young IT graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in modern desktop management, cloud virtualisation, and enterprise IT operations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will form part of a team supporting multiple platforms including SCCM, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop. You will help implement, configure, maintain, and continuously enhance Modern Desktop management toolsets, and develop automation scripts, utilities, and reports to improve the maturity of the environment. The scope of responsibilities may shift depending on urgent operational needs, so adaptability is key.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain SCCM, Intune, and Azure Virtual Desktop platforms
- Implement, configure, and enhance Modern Desktop management toolsets
- Develop and implement automation scripts, utilities, and reports
- Assist with troubleshooting client configuration and networking issues
- Respond to shifting operational priorities as needed
Minimum Requirements
- Completed 3-year tertiary qualification in IT (National Diploma or Degree)
- Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop, MEMCM/Intune, Configuration Management, and IT operations
- International certifications (Azure Administrator, Virtual Desktop) advantageous
- No criminal record
- Currently unemployed
- Not currently enrolled at a tertiary institution
- Not participating in another learnership or internship programme
- Must reside in Gauteng, preferably in the Midrand area (relocation is not an option)
- Under the age of 35 as of 01 July 2026
- South African citizen (African, Indian, or Coloured)
Skills Required
- Clear understanding of Azure Virtualisation
- Good understanding of Azure Logic App automation
- Solid, proven PowerShell scripting ability
- Microsoft Configuration Manager infrastructure support
- Proven experience with Modern Desktop Management toolset technology
- Active Directory Group Policy creation and troubleshooting
- Good working knowledge of Networking – TCP/IP (client configuration and troubleshooting)
