TFR is one of South Africa’s most critical freight and logistics operations, forming part of the Transnet State-Owned Enterprise. As an intern, you will receive structured on-the-job training, mentorship from experienced professionals, and exposure to real industry tasks — all designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and workplace demands.
Who Can Apply?
This programme is open to unemployed South African graduates and TVET College students between the ages of 18 and 35. To be eligible, you must:
- Be a South African citizen
- Be between 18 and 35 years of age
- Have completed all theoretical training at your institution
- Hold a qualification or statement of results in a relevant field
- Have no prior work experience in your field of study
- Have no bursary obligations

- Health & Safety — Qualification or Statement of Results in Health & Safety
- Psychology / Social Work / Health Related — Qualification or Statement of Results in Psychology, Social Work, or a Health-Related field
- Industrial Engineering — Qualification or Statement of Results in Industrial Engineering
- Transport and Logistics — Qualification or Statement of Results in Transport and Logistics
- Human Resources — Qualification or Statement of Results in Human Resources or a related discipline
- Information Systems — Qualification or Statement of Results in Information Systems
- Finance — Qualification or Statement of Results in Finance
- Office Management / Office Administration — Qualification or Statement of Results in Office Management or Office Administration
- Communication / Public Relations — Qualification or Statement of Results in Communication or Public Relations
What You Will Gain
