Internship Opportunities

The 2025 / 2026 Internship Programme offers twelve-month placements in the following disciplines:

• Mining Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Chemical Engineering

Successful candidates will gain exposure to mining operations, engineering processes, and safety standards. They will also receive mentorship and professional guidance from experienced engineers to help establish a strong foundation for their careers.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must:

• Be South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years.
• Hold a Degree or National Diploma in one of the listed engineering fields.
• Be unemployed and have no previous full-time work experience in the related discipline.
• Reside near the mine (proof of residence required via municipal account or affidavit).
• Be able to pass a certificate of fitness examination as required by the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
