The Breede-Olifants Catchment Management Agency (BOCMA), a Water Resources Management entity established in terms of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998), is inviting unemployed graduates to apply for its Internship Programme within the Water Resources Management Division.

BOCMA is a statutory body mandated to manage water resources within the Breede-Olifants catchment area. BOCMA is offering internship positions across the following components, based at its offices in Worcester, George, and Belleville:
Water Resources Management (WRM) — 10 Posts

Qualifications Required:
- An appropriate B Degree in Water Resources Management, Environmental Science, or related fields
- BSc Honours in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry
Water Resource Planning — 2 Posts (Hydrology)

Qualifications Required:
- Masters in Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or Geology
Water Resource Planning — 2 Posts (Engineering)

- An appropriate B Degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
Stipend
- R7 500 per month for NQF Levels 07 – 08
- R10 000 per month for NQF Level 09
Duration
24-month fixed-term non-renewable Internship Contract
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must:
- Be 35 years of age or younger
- Be currently unemployed
- Hold an appropriate post-school qualification in a relevant field
- Have obtained a minimum average of 60% in their final year academic records
- Not have previously served as an intern in the Public or Private Sector
- Be a South African citizen
