Introduction
Eskom, South Africa’s leading electricity supplier, is seeking highly motivated and skilled Technician Maintenance C&I professionals to join the Matimba Power Station in Lephalale, Limpopo. These positions play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safe operation of plant systems within one of the country’s most vital power-generating facilities.
The successful candidates will work within the Maintenance C&I Department, contributing to the maintenance, optimization, and improvement of instrumentation and control systems that support the continuous and reliable generation of electricity.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize allocated systems to ensure efficient and safe plant operation.
- Conduct quality checks on goods received to verify compliance with technical specifications.
- Assist with system modifications aimed at improving plant reliability and performance.
- Participate in meetings, discussions, and project planning sessions, and compile detailed technical reports when required.
- Provide input and assistance in developing and managing maintenance budgets.
- Supervise contractors and perform project oversight to ensure work meets Eskom standards.
- Assist with plant recommissioning, testing, and inspections following maintenance or modifications.
- Perform any additional technical or operational tasks as legitimately required by the department.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):
- National Diploma or National N Diploma in a relevant Technical discipline.
Experience:
- Relevant maintenance experience in an industrial or power generation environment.
- Completion of P1 and P2 experiential training.
